Waterfowl Survey

Spokane Audubon Society is assisting Ducks Unlimited and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife with Waterfowl Surveys in the scablands of Eastern Washington.  They are trying to determine usage to better understand the dispersion and needs of migrating waterfowl.

Spokane Audubon Society is responsible for the surveys at Reardan Audubon Lake and nearby wetlands.  We will be surveying the area once a week from the first week in February through the end of April.  People go out in pairs and the survey takes about 1.5 hours to complete plus travel time.  It's a great way to get out to do some birding in late winter/early spring and maybe meet some new people.
