Paul Bannick, author of the bestselling book, The Owl and the Woodpecker: Encounters with North America's Most Iconic Birds, will share images, stories and recorded calls derived from thousands of hours in the field, highlighting our own Columbia Highlands of northeastern Washington in this multimedia presentation, followed by a book signing.  Paul intertwines his extensive knowledge of natural history with his breathtaking photography as he draws intriguing connections between owls, woodpeckers, and the plants and animals that live with them.  Includes dozens of new images never shown before.

"... The Owl and the Woodpecker is a monumental work of photojournalism by one of North America’s top wildlife photographers."
Ted Williams, editor-at-large, Audubon magazine
